A widget with the same breakdown as the breakdown source of a dashboard does not filter on the data of the selected element

A widget configured to follow the selected breakdown element that also has a breakdown the same as the breakdown on the dashboard does not filter displaying data for the selected element, but displays data for all the elements for that breakdown.

The issue is also visible if the user is using breakdown interactivity on the widget.

 

1. Navigate to Performance Analytics > Dashboards.
2. Open the Incident daily - 7d - 28d dashboard.
3. Add a new breakdown widget to the dashboard tab.
   The widget must have breakdown Category and follow element selected.
4. On the dashboard, select breakdown Category and element Software.
   
   

This is expected behaviour in all current releases. The design is to prevent adding the breakdown twice.
