Users with the report_publisher role cannot view the Publish and Sharing options

KB Summary by Now Assist

Description

ITIL users that have the report_publisher role cannot view the Publish and Sharing options from the report menu when the original user of the report is explicitly granted access to the report.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Grant the ITIL user the report_publisher role.
  2. Impersonate the ITIL user.
  3. Create a report.
Note that the ITIL user can see the Save button and can publish on that report. ITIL does not have the report group role, so the user is unable to share with others.
  4. Log out.
  5. Log in as an Admin user.
  6. Open the report created by the ITIL user.
  7. Share the report with the ITIL user and another user.
The ITIL user will be able to see that report in the My Reports tab, but cannot save or publish the report.

Workaround

Add the report_group role to the user who cannot save or publish.
