The Performance Analytics percentage widget shows labels even when there is no data to report. For example, if the indicator is a formula indicator and the formula includes division, the label may still be displayed even when the formula does not produce a valid result, such as when the denominator is 0 or null.
Steps to Reproduce
Navigate to Performance Analytics > Indicators > Formula Indicators and create a formula indicator based on two other indicators, with the unit set to %.
For example: ([[# INDICATOR1 / By week SUM]] / [[# INDICATOR2 / By week SUM]]) * 100.
Add breakdowns to this indicator.
Use this formula indicator on a widget with these values:
- Time series: by week AVG
- Type: Breakdown
- Visualization: Line
- Follow element: <selected>
- Show top X: <leave empty>
Add the widget to a dashboard.
Run data collection for the indicator.
If you had demo data and scorecards to the related indicator, breakdowns and elements for the dashboard and widget, you will see that there are more legend labels than graphical representation (lines) on the widget.
Use one of the following workarounds:
- Choose a visualization that shows only the latest score, such as pie or pareto. Those visualizations automatically hide the elements without a score.
- Define an element filter to display only those elements that have a value.
