In Geneva, if a user has the Country code set to NL, negative currency field values appear as -- instead of -€.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Go to http://<Geneva instance name>/sys_user_list.do and search for the user abel.tuter.

  2. Access his record and assign him admin roles.

  3. Right-click in the header and choose Configure > Form Design. Add the Country code field to the form.

  4. Click the gear icon in the Country code field to view its properties, add NL and Netherlands to the drop-down values beneath the Choice type field, and then close the Properties popup window.

  5. Click Save to save the form design.

  6. Go back to the Abel Tuter record and set the Country code to NL.

  7. Go to http://<instance name>/fx_currency_test_list.do and click New to create a new currency.

  8. Provide test_currency for Name, and € and -20000 for Amount, and click Submit.

  9. Validate that the currency list shows (€20,000.00).

  10. Impersonate Abel Tuter.

  11. Open fx_currency_test_list.do, and validate that the list shows -€20,000.00.

  12. Export the list to Excel.

Note that -€20,000.00 is exported as --20,000.00 instead of -€20,000.00.

You can do either of the following:

  • Export the data as PDF.
  • Use a CSV file.
    1. Export to a CSV file.
    2. Open the CSV file in Excel.
    3. Change the user country code to EMPTY.
