KB Summary by Now Assist

Description

If you try to upload an image that has a file extension not specified in the property 'glide.attachment.extensions' through the db_image table , the upload fails.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Log in as an admin.
  2. Navigate to System Properties > All Properties or /sys_properties_list.do.
  3. Find the property glide.attachment.extensions and set the value to pdf.
This property has normally a blank value to allow all file extensions.
  4. Navigate to System UI > Images.
  5. Create a new image in a format that is not allowed (for example, png or jpg) and upload the file.
Note that the operation fails and there are no errors shown in the UI to indicate why the upload failed. Also, the UI frame may load nested inside itself.
