When Activity is in a tab section and the Work notes field is added in the main section, the Work notes field does not appear in the specified location, but may appear on the same tab as Activity.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Navigate to Incident > Open.
  2. Open an incident record.
  3. Right-click on the header bar and select Configure > Form Layout
  4. If Work notes are in any form section other than Incident, remove it from those locations.
  5. In the Incident form section, add Work notes
  6. Click Save.
  7. Right-click on the header bar and select Configure > Form Layout.
  8. In the Notes form section, check that Activities (filtered) is listed in the Selected column.
  9. Click Save.
  10. Note the following: 
    • When the incident form opens, the Work notes field briefly appears, but then disappears (it may display in the Notes tab just above Activity
    • If you create a new incident, the Work notes field appears in the main form, however, after saving the form the Work notes field only shows in the Notes tab


There are two workaround options:

  • User UI15 (issue does not occur in UI15)
  • Relocate the Activities(filtered) formatter to the main section of the form
