Description

The Table Columns embedded list formatter used in the Tables module for dictionary entries produces unexpected behaviour when the Add Sort filter button is clicked.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Navigate to System Definition > Tables.

  2. Open any record and click the Filter icon in the Columns tab in the Table Columns section.

  3. Click Add Sort to sort the embedded list.

A new record form is displayed rather than the ability to sort the list. Note that this issue does not occur on a related list.

Workaround

After carefully considering the severity and frequency of the issue, and the cost and risk of attempting a fix, it has been decided to not address this issue in any current or near future releases. We do not make these decisions lightly, and we apologize for any inconvenience.
