Description

Scheduled jobs for Event Management are not cleaned up due to the 40-character limitation.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Receive a problem from the monitoring team of Disk space is taken up by a large UPDATE statement located in the binlog of the database server.

  2. Note that the instance is filling up the bin logs with messages such as the following example.

  3. Create a connector with a long name (25 chars or more).

  4. Run test connector.

  5. Run test connector again.

  6. Go to the jobs Scheduled jobs view.

    Note that both jobs are visible.

 

Workaround

  1. Rename all connector names to be fewer than 20 characters.
  2. Stop all jobs that have a name starting with EM-Connector-Test-.
