Description

In UI16, when activating the character counter via the UI Properties, the counter does not appear for journal fields that have been combined.

 

Steps to Reproduce

 

  1. Enable character counter via UI Properties.
  2. Open up incident form.
  3. Check Additional comments and Work notes for character counter.
    The character counter should appear directly underneath the journal box to the left, but it does not.

Workaround

After carefully considering the severity and frequency of the issue, and the cost and risk of attempting a fix, it has been decided to not address this issue in any current or near future releases. We do not make these decisions lightly, and we apologize for any inconvenience.

However, the character counter does appear when switching to UI15.
