Performance Analytics and Reporting

New and enhanced features for IT operations management include: 

Performance Analytics
Guided indicator workflow Create an indicator as well as related breakdowns, data collection jobs, and widgets using a single wizard.

Workbench widget Use a new widget to analyze trend and breakdown data from multiple indicators on a single dashboard page.

Real-time scores for automated indicators

Display the current score of an indicator based on real-time data.

Record set deltas Compare scores from different dates to evaluate changes in the collected records between snapshots.
Score forecasting Extend trendlines into future dates to forecast changes in scores.

Third-party data sources

Integrate with third-party data sources to generate analytics. These data sources can come from companies such as Twitter, LinkedIn, or Yahoo.

Configuration generator

Quickly create indicators, breakdowns, dashboards, and widgets for any task table.

Breakdown relations Define relationships between breakdowns to allow users to navigate between related breakdowns.

Contextual analytics Access incident analytics based on the current record directly from the Incident form.

PADomainUtils API

Move and copy Performance Analytics configuration records between domains.

Changed in the Geneva release:

  • You can filter records on a dashboard Records tab by selecting Show Matching and Filter Out.
  • You can select a breakdown when viewing a breakdown dashboard.
  • You can link to a scorecard from a dynamic content block, such as a custom widget.
  • When defining a chart color scheme, you do not need to specify all colors.
  • You can specify a widget Lookup name that appears in the Add Content menu.
  • The values score_start and score_end are available in formula indicators.
  • You can configure indicators to use render with continuous lines when there are gaps in the data.
  • You can add a homepage to a dashboard as a new tab.
  • The Scorecard API supports breakdown relations and filtering by element.
  • The currently-selected filter conditions appear at the top of the scorecards page.
  • You can specify a color scheme for time series widgets.
  • Reports added to a breakdown dashboard can be filtered based on the selected breakdown element.
  • You can filter the scorecards page based on an indicator group using the indicator_group parameter.
  • You can access the scores for a scorecard as a table using the Scores tab.
  • You can create breakdown sources based on a list type field.
  • A new relative compare visualization is available for time series widgets that display multiple sets of data that allows you to compare the main indicator with widget indicators.
  • Additional time series are available that include the current open period instead of only closed periods.
Multiple data sets

The new product name in Geneva is Dependency Views with a corresponding navigation of Dependency Views.
Report drill down New panel at the bottom of the map with tabs and lists for each node indicator, including related business services.
Interactive filters

New indicator icons for related items of the CI, with corresponding new filtering options for these indicators.

Changed in the Geneva release:

  • Reports respect the current application scope. Users cannot edit reports in a different application scope.
  • The export chart image button now appears at the top of charts.
  • You can configure donut and semidonut charts to display the total aggregate value.
  • You can control the rounding precision for decimals using the glide.chart.decimal.precision property.
  • You can use a chart color scheme to define report chart colors.
  • You can add a report directly to a homepage or Performance Analytics dashboard without first creating a gauge.
  • You can specify a height for widgets added to homepages.
  • You can embed reports in Jelly pages, such as UI pages.
