Expand-to-fit iFrame block where the URL specifies knowledge v3 homepage (for example, kb_home_launcher or $knowledge.do) is cut off.

Steps to Reproduce

 

  1. Navigate to Content Management > Pages > New and create a page with the following values:
    • Name: test
    • URL suffix: test
    • Content Site: Employee Self-Service
  2. Save the record.
  3. Navigate to Content Management > Specialty Content > All and create a new iFrame block with the following:
    • Name: IT KB Frame
    • Frame name: gsft_main
    • URL: $knowledge.do#/search?kb=a7e8a78bff0221009b20ffffffffff17Sizing: Expand to fit content (internal content)
  4. On the new page created in step 1, scroll to Related Links and select Edit Page.
  5. Click Add content.
  6. Select Content Blocks > ASP - IFrame - Knowledge Search.
  7. Click Add here to add content to the page.
  8. View the page in the ess portal (for example, https://<instance>.service-now.com/ess/test.do).
  9. Select various categories.
    Note that the results are cut off.

    • Email > Outlook:



    • Operating Systems > Mac OS X:

 

Workaround

This issue was fixed by a code update based on another problem (PRB620765). It has been fixed since Geneva Patch 7 and Helsinki Patch 1.
