Multi text (read-only) field scrollbar does not scroll on Internet Explorer 9

Multi text (read-only) field scrollbar does not scroll on IE9. It does work on Internet Explorer 11.

 

1. Open an incident that has a large amount of text in the Description field so the right-hand scroll bar renders.
2. Make the description read-only using any of the following methods:
   • sys_dictionary
   • UI Policy
   • Client Script
3. View the incident form using Internet Explorer 9.
   The description scrollbar appears, but does not scrolls

If you use Chrome or Firefox, the description scrollbar allows you to scroll through text as expected.

If you must use Internet Explorer 9, the mouse track ball or wheel allows you to scroll.

If you use Internet Explorer 11, the description scrollbar appears and you can click and scroll through entire text.
