The SNC - ITIL - Close Related business rule does not close related child incidents from the parent incident. Child Incidents are still active = true.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. On the Incident form, add the field named Parent Incident.
  2. Complete the Parent Incident field to relate an active incident to a parent incident.
  3. Open the active parent incident. 
  4. Close the parent incident. 
  5. Open the child incident.
    Note that the Active field on the child incident is true.


The incident form uses the parent_incident column, not the parent column. The business rule must be updated.

NOTE: This procedure overwrites any existing code. Back up your changes before applying the workaround.

  1. Log in as maint.
  2. Import the xml file attached to this knowledge base article.
