If a Service Catalog category or subcategory contains a forward slash, the mobile UI does not encode the forward slash, causing the category's items to not be displayed. It either displays a blank page or refreshes to the main Service Catalog home.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Login as an admin in a Eureka or Fuji instance.
  2. Navigate to Service Catalog > Catalog Definitions > Maintain Categories.
  3. Open the Office category.
  4. In the Categories related list, open Document Services.
  5. Rename to Document Services/Filing.
  6. Navigate to this in Mobile UI (/navpage.do/$m > Catalog > Office > Document Services / Filing).
  7. Note the view breaks when selecting Document Services/Filing (note the forward slash in the URL): 
    • https://<instance_name>.service-now.com/navpage.do/$m#/catalog/category/10d826eac6112276009d4a908fe35398/Document%2520Services/Filing

If you manually replace the "/" in the URL with /, it refreshes back to the forward slash.

After visiting this page, in the mobile UI recent section, you can successfully navigate to the category from there, but not through the regular icon clicks as expected.



The current workaround is to remove forward slash ( / ) characters from Category and Sub-Category titles. Updates will be provided as more information becomes available.
