When logging in, the "glide.ui.navpage.state" user preference setting causes the browser to hang when loading navpage.do or other homepages. This is caused by a layout configuration for the user that cannot be handled.

The "glide.ui.navpage.state" user preference setting works as expected in Dublin instances, but hangs the browser after a Eureka upgrade. In Eureka the error message "Not enough room to show this panel" is displayed.

A side effect of this issue is that it is impossible to resize the horizontal split to enlarge the top split window.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Create a new user preference for the ITIL User:
    • Name: glide.ui.navpage.state
    • Type: String
    • Value: {"formPane":"east","edge_center.north.isClosed":false,"edge_center.west.isClosed":false,"edge_center.west.size":242,"main.south.isClosed":true,"main.south.size":"64%","main.east.isClosed":false,"main.east.size":"99%"}
  2. Load navpage.do as that user.
    Note that the browser hangs.

Remove the preference from that user. The next time the user logs in, the issue should be resolved.
