Description

Orphaned records (records associated with an invalid sys_class_name) cause lists to stop rendering and break page functionality. See attached screenshot for details on issues that occur.

Reproducible in all versions of the platform.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Log in to the base system instance.
  2. Import the attached XML file.
  3. Navigate to cmdb_ci.list (purposely made an orphan by setting sys_class_name to "broke")
  4. Sort by Name descending.
  5. Note that only one record displays, there is no pagination, and that filters, sorting, context menus, and grouping do not function.

Workaround

There are fixes in place that should prevent the creation of orphaned records, but in order to clean up records, contact Support to have them remove the record from the database.
