Resolving truncated web service endpoint when using a MID server

Problem
Outbound web service requests sent through a MID Server fail due to a truncated endpoint URI.

Symptoms
  • Outbound web service requests sent through a MID Server fail.
  • The Source field in the ECC Queue record shows a truncated URI.

Cause
The Source field from the ECC Queue record is shorter than the specified URI.

Resolution
Modify the script that triggers the outbound web service request and call the setECCParameter function. This function adds a parameter called source in the ECC Queue record payload that overrides the specified Source field value. See the script example below:

var sm = new SOAPMessage('soap_Message','soap_Function');

sm.setEccParameter("source","very_longEndPoint");
