The following issue impacts customers who use SSL encrypted POP3 mail servers only.
If you upgrade to Dublin or a later release and then upgrade again, your instance may be unable to receive email. The glide.pop3.port property, which is available starting with the Dublin release, determines which POP3 mail server port to use. When you upgrade to Dublin or later, a fix script sets the property to 110 or, if the glide.pop3.secure property is true, 995. However, the system does not record the property change in the Customer Update [sys_update_xml] table, so the next time you upgrade, the POP3 server port is reset to the default value of 110. The required port for SSL encryption is 995.
Reconfigure the POP3 server port for SSL encryption.
- Navigate to System Properties > Email.
- In the Incoming Mail Server section, set the POP3 server port (110) property to 995.
- Click Save.
