During a data center maintenance there was a brief communication drop which resulted in the domain controller recovery occurring and failing. This resulted in the email services being disabled and inbound email not processing.

This problem is to track the risk and impact from incidents ServiceNow might experience until Email architectural improvements can be prioritized and released which could prevent the risk of Email service failure in the event of domain controller communication.
