In September 2006, GNU bintools was enhanced with an improved hashing mechanism to fetch symbols during dynamic linkage. The mechanism involved introducing a new ELF section named .gnu_hash, whereas the the former ELF section was named .hash

The following error is produced when executables without the legacy .hash section are executed on an old Linux host, which bears no relation to the actual underlying defect:

vagrant@linux-zzjj:~> test_16001/bin/wrapper-linux-x86-32
