Hi team,

When using some email clients to send an email to instance, the body of the inbound email will be missing. The cause appears be that ServiceNow is treating the content-type header of the email in a case-sensitive manner, rather than case-insensitive as required by RFC.

Please see attached 'alpine.PNG', I used my gmail account in Alpine to send an email (with 'this is body' in message content) to my OOB instance, the inbound email body is missing and the content type is shown as 'TEXT/PLAIN; format=flowed; charset=US-ASCII'.

However when sending the same message from Alpine to my outlook email account, the body is there in outlook. So it seems a compatibility issue between Alpine and the platform? Can you please confirm?

You can download the Alpine email client at http://www.washington.edu/alpine/acquire/, I was using the windows version to reproduce the issue. ftp://ftp.cac.washington.edu/alpine/setup_alpine_2.00.exe
