The sensors SNMP - Classify and SNMP - Identity require certain information to be present in its decision making process. It is possible for a SNMP device to supply only a fraction of this information and cause duplicate CI records to be created with the incorrect classification or missing information.
Extending the SNMP timeout values can work around the network latency causing this issue. However, Discovery of a device should stop when it detects that essential information is missing.
For more information about timeout probe parameters that can be changed, see SNMP_Probes.
Steps to Reproduce
No steps to reproduce available at this time.
Raise the SNMP probe timeout parameter to reduce the risk of network latency causing incomplete information for SNMP devices. For more information, see SNMP Probe.
