Verify that the email recipient is not a delegate of another user


If a user has an active delegate, ServiceNow can send copies of notifications to the delegate in addition to the original user. If a specific user is unexpectedly receiving notifications, verify the user is not a delegate of one of the original recipients.



  1. Login to the instance.
  2. Navigate to User Administration > Users.
  3. Select the user who received the notification.
  4. Add the Delegates > User related list.
  5. If the user is an active delegate, you can change delegation notification preferences.
